WRYA SOCCER

Rockville Soccer is a recreational soccer league providing fun and fitness opportunities for our community youth ages 4-14. We offer co-ed play. Home games are played at Rockville School Park located on 17347 Pouncey Tract Road in Rockville, VA.

Fall and Spring Seasons

Fall games run September through November. Spring season runs March through May. A typical season includes 9-10 games.

Game Times

U-6, U-8, U-10 and U-12 games are played Sunday afternoons. U-14 to be determined.

Practice

Weekly practices are required. The coach will designate a practice night.

KidSafe Program

Rockville Soccer participates in the Virginia Youth Soccer Association (VYSA) endorsed KidSafe Program. The purpose of this program is to screen and conduct background checks on coaches and volunteers.

Concessions

WRYA has a concession stand commitment policy. By registering your child to play soccer you are also committing yourself to work in the concession stand. The full policy is available here.

We want you to see your child play! We can schedule your concession time before or after your child's game. Contact Mila Spaulding at 749-8690 to schedule your concession commitment.

We hope you will enjoy the experience of working in the concession stand with other WRYA families. It is a great way to meet people and set a good example for your children of accepting responsibility.

When you join the WRYA family as a player or parent, team work is required both on and off the field.

Volunteers

We need you to make our program successful! Consider volunteering in one of the following areas.

Coach/Assistant Coach

We encourage and pay for all volunteers to attend VYSA coach certification courses. The training is offered prior to the start of each season.

Field Lining

Please advise your coach if you are interested in lining the fields. Fields must be lined prior to Sunday morning.

Referees

Referees are paid per game based on experience, certification level, and game level. Contact the Commissioner if you are interested in attending a referee certification course. You must be 13 years of age to referee.
